An Islamic State (IS) mortar shell hit a school in the southeastern province of Kilis and left one female janitor killed and a student wounded.
Kilis Governorate announced one of three rocket projectiles from Syria has hit the school.
Military sources said the shell was fired from IS positions. Also, security sources confirmed Turkish forces counter attacked the IS positions with missiles.
The blast reportedly took place at 9.30 a.m. on Jan. 18 at Eyüp Gökçe Secondary School in central Kilis.
Rescue teams and ambulances were dispatched to the school.
